Setting up tram boards on the left side. The device in
the center of the cylinder has a wire attached to it. This wire is strung through
the cylinder to a point at the rear of the frame. The bolts allow adjustment
to fine-tune the wire to its proper alignment within the cylinder.
"Tramming" is a term for using a series of taut wires or strings as a
reference to measure points of interest along a path. The proper word is
trammel.
