| The lift of #2719 happened on December 16th, 1999. The Lunda Co. returned with their massive liftng apparatus the day before. The lift commenced at 11:00 A.M. and the drivers were re-installed by 1:30 P.M. that afternoon. The entire process went very smoothly thanks to the preparatory work done by Diversified Rail Services and the #2719 volunteers. |

Some residue in the roundhouse. The two engine brake levers (centered)
, and the #1 and #2 axle left and right pedestal binders. Once the
locomotive is back in the roundhouse, over the binders, they are lifted up
into place and keep the pedestal jaws from spreading in the frame. The
pedestal binders also keep the shoes in place and provide the
adjusting mechanism for the wedges.
