| Soo Line #2719 is now ready to pull passengers again after an intensive one-year rebuild. The photos below show the final work being done prior to it's movement to Chippewa Falls, WI, origin of the Spring 2000 Trips. |

#2719's nose is just peeking out of the Altoona
Roundhouse on May 14, 2000. There are 72 pounds of pressure in the boiler,
and you can see steam escaping from the open left valve cylinder exhaust port.
The cylinder is open to take some final measurements of the replacement
valve gear from Soo Line Pacific H-21 #2713.

Here Keith, our master welder, attends to some final
adjustments for the air pump cooler piping. |

| Our latest helper, Mike from out East, taking a much deserved short
rest before moving on to more adjustments.
