At the passenger loading site, the Wisconsin Central Railroad provided a dramatic Operation Lifesaver display of what can happen when you try to beat a train at a grade crossing.

Our WC crew, Homer (pilot) and Greg (conductor), who furnished excellent support and guidance the entire three days during the excursions and ferry move. Thank you very much gentlemen!

Looking out the rear of the diesel, we see the Chippewa Valley Railway caboose, with the rest of the train behind it. If you look close, you can just make out Soo Line #2719 at the end.
