Steam Locomotive #19 gets some attention this year to its
Stephenson valve gear assembly. This page is the first in a series on the
entire project.
Over the last two weeks the boiler was removed from the frame, and the frame taken out for cleaning. The initial work is highlighted in the photos below. |

This is a view of the throttle of #19. The throttle slide
valve and boiler were
constucted by Norman Sandley, of the Sandley Locomotive Works, Wisconsin
Dells, WI in 1976 for the Chippewa Valley Railway. The throttle
